Total weight gain/loss: +21lbs

Stretch marks? Nope! But I can definitely feel my skin getting tighter… eeek :(

Sleep: Meh… I lost my body pillow this week so sleep has been dicey. I’m currently using a bolster as a nightime knee spacer and it’s FABULOUS!

Best moment this week: BABY SHOWER! Oh my gosh, so much fun :) It was so amazing having my best mommy friends and family with me to prep welcoming Baby W into the world.

Miss anything? Sangria. We made a giant batch of it for the party and like 3 people had some. The college party girl in me cried a little as I poured the rest down the sink.

Food cravings: Beef. Roasted beef to be specific. And, god help me, the coconut cravings are returning. Nooooooo!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Normal stuff… Eggs, chicken, super salty/sweet things,

Labor signs: Nope.

Belly button in or out? STILL IN. 55 more days for you to pop out, little belly button! We can do this!!!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy! And sore lol.

Looking forward to: Painting the mural! It’s up, it looks amazing, it just needs some color now.

Oh, and this! I’m already learning where to save my money next time we have a little one on the way. First and foremost, I’m not buying a body pillow. The bolster works perfectly fine AND is less cumbersome in the bed. Don’t get me wrong, those full-body snailshell pillows are awesome and everything, but the first day I had mine I accidentally ripped part of the curly snailshell bit by the feet and it’s never been the same. And by “never been the same” I mean each morning we’d wake up covered in pillow stuffing like it was mother flippin’ Christmas morning and our dog would look at us like “it wasnt me! you took away all my toys before bed!” and I’d have to sheepishly stuff all the fluff back into my body pillow. Yep. So the body pillow has taken a permanent field trip to the local dump and its new friend bolster is keeping me pretty satisfied. Also keeping me satisfied? My husband, who happens to double as a great body pillow himself! Even better, he’s heated! WOOHOO!

Total weight gain/loss: +20lbs

Stretch marks? None.

Sleep: Not too shabby.

Best moment this week: Date night with hubby where we learned how to make the best cinnamon rolls EVER! They’re so fluffy and cinnamoney and gooey and ohmahgawd… I can’t wait to share them with you!

Miss anything? Being able to stand and walk like a normal person. Sciatica is no joke, people.

Food cravings: Meaties and citrus.

Anything making you queasy or sick? The normal stuff.

Labor signs: Noooope.

Belly button in or out? In. Still flat.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: Baby shower is next week! I can’t wait to hang out with all our friends and get some good advice!

Oh, and this! Maternity style has come a long way in recent years, and I’m so thankful that we’re not forced to wear mumus and circus tents anymore. Most of my outfits have come from Pink Blush Maternity and Old Navy, with a smattering from A Pea In The Pod and Rosie Pope. I’ll be completely honest and say that I can’t wait to start on baby #2 so I can rock more of these cuper comfy and cute maternity styles.

Stretch marks? No. I know, I don’t believe it either! Thank you Burts Bee’s Momma Bee Belly Butter :D

Sleep: What is this “sleep” you speak of? Oh right, you mean the time at night when its dark and my husband and dog are snuggled up to my heat-rock of a body, while baby has a dance party in my belly. Sleep is GREAT when I can actually sleep.

Best moment this week: Realizing I have only 32 more days at work before maternity leave! WOO FREAKIN HOO.

Miss anything? Not having tiny toes in my ribs. Yea, I miss that.

Food cravings: Beef. There are 7lbs of carne asada in our fridge right now. BRING ON THE MEATIES!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Normal stuff.

Labor signs: Negative.

Belly button in or out? In. Flatter than ever, but no real signs of popping out.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: Drawing the mural on the wall!!! We printed the design on 180 sheets of paper, laid them on the floor, then taped them to the wall, and are carefully removing each page from the wall as we draw the pattern beneath it. Right now it looks kinda jinky, but when it’s done, it’ll be epic!

Oh, and this! Fainting is real, folks. Okay so I haven’t actually fainted yet, but {from what I hear from folks who have} I know very vividly what it feels like the moments before you do. You’re probably standing there talking to your boss about all kinds of stuff on a Friday morning, when your legs begin to feel heavy. You wrap up the convo and head back to your desk, only to be hit with nausea and dizziness. Resisting the urge to vomit all over your keyboard, you put your arms above your head and hold up your hair because goddamn did someone just turn the heat on in here? And wait, what happened to all the noise? OMG AM I GOING DEAF!? By this time you realize something’s not right and are probably consulting Dr. Google between the firework show happening in your eyes. That’s when you see the superfun results saying you’re like 30 seconds away from fainting and how to avoid it*: breathe deeply, elevate your legs or put your head between your legs if your belly isn’t too huge by now, take off extra layers of clothes, try to eat a protein bar to get your sugars and protein up. Usually this will help you make it through a spell and allow you to get back to whatever you were doing… Or at least allow you to text your husband and let him know you need to go home at lunch and lay down because you don’t want to risk fainting and falling on the tiny human you’re growing.

*I’m not a medical professional, so these are all things that have worked to avoid fainting on 3 separate occasions this pregnancy. If you have those symptoms accompanied by a headache, bleeding, impaired speech, chest pain, or trouble breathing, tell a friend and CALL YOUR DOCTOR. Stay safe, mommas!

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep: Not bad, but not great. Definitely getting more uncomfortable.

Best moment this week: Beta tested a new game this week! FYI, be on the lookout for WildStar this summer :)

Miss anything? I definitely missed having a drink on Valentine’s Day.

Food cravings: Meat, meat, and more meat. Hubby didn’t get any carne asada for me this weekend so I’ve been surviving off microwaved lunch meat, frozen IKEA meatballs, and ground turkey.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Standard stuff.

Labor signs: Only BH when I don’t drink enough liquids. Otherwise, everything’s just peachy down there!

Belly button in or out? In. It’s just never going to pop out…

Wedding rings on or off? On. Still loose.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy, but getting nervous about the whole birthing part. Can someone just transport this kid out of me Star Trek style?

Looking forward to: Getting the nursery painted. Seriously, why does this have to take a million years? Oh right, because I wanted an accurate mural of the Carmel coastline on the wall. Yea…

Oh, and this! Let’s talk shaving. Fun fact: I can definitely no longer see my goodies. Yes, those goodies. I’ll be perfectly honest and say my maintenance routine is going to change for the next 10 weeks because doing that sh*t by feel is no picnic. And by that I mean I’m just going to invest in a good waxing because last time a razor was involved down there it looked like a scene from a Tarantino film. Too much information, right? Guess I probably shouldn’t mention the time this week when I was in the restroom for at work 23 minutes trying to poop, then had a panic attack because if I can’t poop, how the hell am I going to push an 8lb baby out!? I don’t think any amount of fiber is going to help me get a watermelon out of my vajayjay.

Stretch marks? Surprisingly, no! I can’t believe it either!!!

Sleep: Could be better, could be worse.

Best moment this week: Valentine’s Day!

Miss anything? I definitely missed having a drink on Valentine’s Day.

Food cravings: MEAT. Specifically beef. Hand over the steak and no one gets hurt ;)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Eggs, chicken, and really salty/greasy food.

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button in or out? STILL IN. Seriously, just give up Mr. Bellybutton!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: Planting stuff, painting stuff, baking stuff. The usual!

Oh, and this! Valentine’s Day was yesterday, and can I just tell you how amazing ours was? First of all, we ate a heart-shaped steak. I KNOW, RIGHT!? I personally decimated that thing and normally I’d be all omg-he-thinks-im-a-fatty, but not this time folks, because I’m growing his baby and I can eat however the hell much steak I want. Brad totally fed me pieces of steak… while we played SWTOR for 3 hours. What can I say, we’re romantics!

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep: Decent, but wish there was more of it!

Best moment this week: Finding out I passed the glucose test! No GD for this momma :)

Miss anything? Being able to eat fast food. Baby hates McDonalds…

Food cravings: Meat, meat, and more meat. In fact, Brad is out at the Mexican market right now buying the only carne asada baby and I like. We can’t even wait for lunchies!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Normal stuff.

Labor signs: Nooooope! But I did have a ton of braxton hicks this week because I wasn’t drinking enough water.

Belly button in or out? In, flatter, and just barely starting to pop in the late afternoon! I CANT WAIT!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: The shower invites arriving! The my dress came this week and all I can think of is the super cute party we’re going to have to celebrate this baby boy! EEEPS!

Oh, and this! So remember last week when I took my glucose test? Yea, well I totally failed it. Not by much, but enough to send me back for the huge-ass-monster glucose test which involves fasting for 12 hours. Can you say hungry momma? So I drank the hummingbird water (fruit punch this time!) and sat there for THREE hours while the tech drew my blood 4 times. Let me tell you, I have great veins—they’re prominent and huge and bright blue… a hemo’s dream—but I would not wish being stuck twice in each arm over a 3 hour period on ANYONE. Nor the sugar crash after. I don’t know how you mommas with GD do it.

Sleep: Pretty good!

Best moment this week: Finally got my glucose test over with. I’ve been worrying about it for months, even though my doctor says I’m super low risk. Find out Thursday if I passed :)

Miss anything? Um, considering the Superbowl is Sunday, I’d say BEER is at the top of my “things I miss” list. whomp whomp.

Food cravings: Danish butter cookies. I didn’t crave them until someone in the hallway at work set out a tin. I think I ate 5. THOUSAND. Thank goodness these maternity leggings are stretchy!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Spicy food set my tastebuds off this week. Sad times for the two days I lost lunch.

Labor signs: None!

Belly button in or out? In. Wondering if it’s ever going to pop!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy, but SO tired.

Looking forward to: It’s a long way off, but I was standing in the kitchen this evening peeling some Cuties when I envisioned our little guy helping me bake brownies and bread. It melted my heart. I can’t wait to meet him and make so many memories!

Sleep: Better than it’s been in a long time! Though I get nauseous if I lay on my right side for too long. Weird.

Best moment this week: DECIDED ON A NAME FOR BABY BOY! We’re keeping it a secret (in case the name doesn’t suit him at birth), but I’m so happy to not call him “Baby” anymore! Oh yea, and PRENATAL YOGA! Omg so good :)

Miss anything? Eggs. I had a serious craving for a breakfast sandwich this week and was so sad when it hit me that I couldn’t eat one because of the egg. ITS THE BEST PART! Ugh. Dear Baby W, why do you not let Momma eat chicken or eggs?

Food cravings: CUTIES. Our grocer, after several weeks of only carrying questionable oranges, brought back Cuties! I’ve been craving them the entire pregnancy and swiped two boxes of the sugary, orange orbs for my snacks. Omnomnom :)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Eggs and chicken.

Gender: Still a boy – I might change this question since it’s not like the answer changes week to week lol

Labor signs: None :)

Belly button in or out? Still in, but I can feel the bottom of it :x Not long now!

Wedding rings on or off? On, but probably because it’s been so dang cold here.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy happy happy!

Looking forward to: Starting to paint the nursery! I seriously had a Sophie’s Choice moment in Home Depot when my husband told me to pick a shade of navy blue… THERE.ARE.SO.MANY
